Seven Lacrosse Players named to USCAA National All-Academic Squad
In order to be nominated, a player must either be a starter or play a significant role in the team's success, as well as have an overall cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.50 or higher.
A senior captain, Smith was a two-time member of the All-Academic team for football, as well as now twice for lacrosse, and was a key component to the team's defensive success. Titus, a two-time All-Academic squad member for football and lacrosse as well, was an important piece of the team's offensive game plan.
Meiklejohn had an impressive year on the football field, and followed that up with an equally as impressive season on the lacrosse field. He has named an All-Academic squad member for both, as was Dougherty, who was the team's Most Improved Player in 2022 and followed that up with a strong 2023 campaign. Watkins played three sports for Williamson this past year, football basketball and lacrosse. Not only was he outstanding in all three sports, he was named an All-Academic team member for all three! Kirkpatrick also was a key component of the team's success, as well as a vocal leader for the team. Keeney's play was instrumental in the team's outstanding play as well.
The team finished 11-5 and came just short of an NCLL Division II Final Four appearance, losing to eventual national champion West Chester University in the Liberty Division championship game.
