Wrestling Rallies to Down Temple
PHILADELPHIA - Trailing through the first couple of matches, the Williamson College of the Trades wrestling team dominated the second half of the match to down Temple, 42-23 on Friday night.
NOTABLE
- WT recorded six falls, two each in the first, second and third periods.
- The match started at 197 lbs. Trailing 5-0. the Mechanics got on the board when Freshman Kylon Mitchell, earned a second period pin at 4:40.
- With Willamson down 17-12 after the 133 lb match, Conan DeBruyn's first period pin started the charge.
- Liam Kernan rallied from 8-1 after the first period. He chose down to start the second period, reversed his opponent and proceeded to turn his opponent at the edge of the mat. While in near fall criteria, Kernan maintained his position in bounds and secured the fall at 4:06 in the second.
- Ali Cheeks, Alexander Gamble-Williams and Nurrideen Ahmad-Statts followed all with falls; 3:14, 3:40 and 1:07 respectively.
