Lacrosse Routs Sussex on Senior Day
MEDIA, Pa. - The Williamson College of the Trades lacrosse team sent their seniors off in fine fashion, downing Sussex County Community College, 10-1 on Senior Day on Wednesday.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Seamus Bohannon led the way for the Mechanics with three goals and five points.
- Anthony Zollo and Declan Robinson each scored twice.
- Bohannon, Rob Wagner and Hayden McGinnis recorded two assists apiece.
- Adam Simmins stopped six shots and did not surrender a goal until the fourth quarter.
- WT was 11-for-11 on faceoffs. Asher Wiser won 10 of them.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Williamson wasted no time in finding the back of the cage as Zollo opened the scoring less than three minutes into the game.
- Aiden O'Dell netted his first at the 8:05 mark before Bohannon scored twice, 89 seconds apart during the final four minutes as the Mechanics took a 4-0 lead after the first quarter.
- Four more goals went in for Wiliamson in the second as Zollo tallied his second of the game at the 13:05 mark.
- Bohannon took a feed from Wagner and scored a man-up goal five minutes into the frame.
- Kaseem Cotton got into the action wiuth a goal at 7:03. Wagner ended the half by scoring with 30 seconds remaining.
- The last two WT goals both came from Robinson in the third.
