Mechanics Turn in Strong Start to Season
PHILADELPHIA – The Williamson College of the Trades cross country team got off to a strong start for the 2025 season as the Mechanics placed fifth out of 13 teams at the Philadelphia Cross Country Classic on Saturday morning.
Individually, Williamson had two top-10 finishes. Chase Ely placed third in the field of 78 runners with a time of 28:02.1 on the 8K course. Coming in ninth was Bryan Hernandez at 29:46.9.
Other top times for the Mechanics included Conan DeBruyn (35:06.8), Joseph Gambrill (35:19.3) and Mark Carellas (38:47.5).
Next up for Williamson is the United East Preview on the campus of Penn State Brandywine on Friday, September 12. Race time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
