Second Half Proves the Difference in Win for Lacrosse
Down 4-3 at halftime to TCNJ, the # 6 ranked Williamson lacrosse team needed a big second half as a team, and they got just that as their defense blanked the Lions for the entire half, and the offense did its job in a 7-4 win over #18 TCNJ.
Anthony Zollo got the game tying goal on an incredible individual effort, and Matt Dickinson followed with the game winner after several pump fakes, as the Mechanics rolled to their 5th straight victory.
The win now moves Williamson to 9-3 overall on the year and also keeps them undefeated on the road for the year (4-0). The now get to host their semifinal play-off game against Rowan University. That game is tentatively set to be played this Friday, April 25 at a time to be determined. The winner of that game will play the winner of TCNJ/West Chester for the Liberty Division crown and a berth in the NCLL Final Four on Sunday, May 4 at the higher seed. Williamson beat Rowan 5-4 in overtime during the regular season.
Once the time is set for Friday's game, it will be announced on the website.
