Lacrosse Falls to CBCC Essex

Williamson took a big step up in competition as they hosted NJCAA power CCBC Essex on Friday night. The Mechanics gave it all they could but in the end the Knights proved to be too much, as the Knights used a huge second half to break open a close contest at half in a 20-7 victory Friday night.

Williamson scored to open the game on the first three goals by Matt Dickinson. The Knights then proceeded to run off five straight goals to go up 5-1 before Williamson would answer with three of their own to pull to within 5-4 at half.

As close as things were in the first half, the exact opposite occurred in the second half, as the Knights outscored Williamson 15-3 after the break to drop Williamson to 4-2 on the year.

Matt Dickinson led Williamson with four goals and an assist.  Seamus Bohannon added a goal and an assist and Cooper Conroy had the other goal for Williamson on the night.  Jack Welsh had 16 saves in net.

Williamson has a week off before hosting #1 ranked Harford County College next Friday, March 28 at 7:00 PM.
