Wrestling Drops Home Match

Williamson battled in their home match on Wednesday night against Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology but in the end, it was not enough, as they feel to the Bulldogs 34-26.

Williamson had a chance to win the match, as they trailed just 28-26 heading into the final match of the night, but the Mechanics suffered a pin in the match, clinching the win for Stevens.

Two Williamson wrestlers were extremely impressive on the night. Junior Liam Kernan fell behind quickly in his bout at 141 lbs.  He trailed 12-5 at the end of the first period before he pulled to within 12-11 at the end of the second period.  He then dominated the third period to take home a well-earned 16-12 win.

Senior Michael Kling looked like a man on a mission, as he dominated his foe from start to finish, eventually coming away with an 18-3 technical fall victory.

The loss drops Williamson to 5-1 on the season.  They close out their first semester of work this Saturday at the Retriever Duals, hosted by the University of Baltimore County.
